I had been feeding my Newfoundland dogs dry dog food. They itched and scratched themselves raw. the vet claimed they had fleas but we never saw any on them or in the house. After much frustration I called a woman I had heard of through a friend. She told me that my dogs' diets were too alkaline and that they needed the enzymes and amino acids found in raw meat. After following what Wendy Volhard told me to do, I saw a complete change in my dogs. Their coats began to glisten and a light showed in their eyes that I had never seen when they were on packaged dry foods. That was over 17 years ago.
